LaLiga files complaint for Violent Chants!
Madrid, Jan 8 (EFE).-
LaLiga has filed a report with the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and the Anti-Violence Commission over a series of violent chants targeting Real Madrid and Vinicius Jr. during the Jan. 3 match at Valencia’s Mestalla stadium.
According to a document from LaLiga, led by Javier Tebas, the offensive chants occurred at 10 different moments during the match, which corresponded to matchday 12 of Laliga EA Sports. The report noted that the chants were “exclusively choral and coordinated” by fans in the Gol Sur/Mario Alberto Kempes stand, while “the rest of the local supporters behaved appropriately.”
Among the chants highlighted by LaLiga was one in the 11th and 32nd minutes.
At the 14th minute, fans chanted, “Jump, jump, little kangaroo, and to hell with the Madrid fans,” which was repeated in the 61st minute.
The insults toward Real Madrid continued throughout the match, including chants such as “Tell them to leave already” (20th minute, preceded by “Fool, fool”), “Yes, fing Real Madrid”* (32nd and 62nd minutes), and “Fing Real Madrid, 52nd minute).
In the 59th and 64th minutes, fans chanted “Madrid, fing ***,”* followed by “Goodbye, fing son, goodbye”* in the 64th minute.
LaLiga’s report also acknowledged Valencia’s efforts to combat such behavior, noting that the club displayed recurring messages on the stadium’s video scoreboards denouncing intolerance, racism, and xenophobia throughout the match. EFE
