Barcelona crushed Sevilla 5-1 in the EA Sports La Liga Sunday’s match at the Olympic Stadium Lluís Companys.
A first-half brace from Robert Lewandowski and a goal from Pedro González ‘Pedri’ set up Barcelona’s victory, and they finished the game after the break with two goals from Pablo Torre.
The Blaugranas dominated throughout, starting with three goals in the first half, the first coming from Lewandowski’s penalty after Raphinha was fouled from behind.
The second came from Pedri, who fired into the top corner from the edge of the box.
Four minutes later, Lewandowski scored from close range to make it three in the 39th minute.
In the second half, Torre came off the bench to make it four with an 82nd-minute shot from inside the area.
Minutes later, Stanis Idumbo scored Sevilla’s only goal with a free-kick into the far corner.
Torre responded immediately, doubling his tally for the night with a long free-kick that beat all defenders and found the back of the net.
Barcelona tops La Liga with 27 points, three clear of Real Madrid in second and seven clear of Atletico Madrid in third. Sevilla are 13th on 12 points. EFE
