Diddy’s sex trafficking trial in New York on May 5!
New York, Apr 4 (EFE).-
United States authorities charged rapper Sean Combs, known as Diddy, with two more felonies, bringing the total federal charges to five, ahead of his sex trafficking trial in New York on May 5.

According to the new indictment, the US Attorney for the Southern District of New York is charging the entertainer with a new sex trafficking and transportation for prostitution count, both involving the same unidentified victim between 2021 and 2024.
Combs, aged 55, has been held in a Brooklyn jail since his arrest in September 2024 and has been charged with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and transportation for prostitution.

The businessman has so far pleaded not guilty to the charges, claiming that the conduct he is being accused of was consensual.
He will come to trial on the new charges at a previously scheduled hearing on Apr. 25.
Combs’ lawyers said in a statement to the media that the new charges do not involve “new allegations” or new victims but “former girlfriends.” They insisted that the relationships were consensual.
As well as adding two new felony counts to the indictment, the prosecution also amended the racketeering charge to allege that Combs “kidnapped” a victim, showed her a gun, and dangled her from an apartment building balcony.

His criminal trial is scheduled to start on May 5. Opening statements by the defense and the prosecution are expected on May 12. EFE
