Real Madrid beats Celta de Vigo 5-2

Two goals by Endrick and a goal by Fede Valverde in a heartstopping extra time broke the deadlock and qualified Real Madrid for the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey with a 5-2 victory over Celta Vigo.

In the first half, Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe opened the score in the 37th minute with a left-footed shot into the top left-hand corner from a difficult angle on the left.

About 10 minutes later, Vinícius Júnior, assisted by Brahim Diaz, scored the second for the Meringue Tema with a right-footed shot from the center of the box.

In the second half, Celta pulled one back through Jonathan Bamba’s 83rd-minute right-footed strike and then equalized through Marcos Alonso’s penalty.

The draw sent the game into extra time, where Real Madrid beat Celta thanks to goals from Endrick in the 108th and 120th minutes and Valverde’s in the 112th. EFE mcd
