Real Madrid defeats Pachuca in Club World Cup!
Charlotte, North Carolina, Jun 22 (EFE).-
Real Madrid claimed their first victory in the Club World Cup defeating Mexican side Pachuca 3-1 after playing with 10 men from the 7th minute, with goals from Jude Bellingham, Arda Guler, and Fede Valverde, with Gonzalo Montiel scoring for the Latin Americans.

Xabi Alonso’s first victory with Real Madrid came after overcoming a one-man deficit at Bank of America Stadium when Raul Asencio was sent off with a straight red card early on for grappling with Venezuelan forward Salomon Rondon.

Jude Bellingham gave his team the lead in the 35th minute, and Arda Guler extended the lead two minutes before halftime.
In the second half, despite Pachuca’s attempts, which included 11 shots at Thibaut Courtois, Real Madrid once again showed effectiveness in attack, scoring with every shot on goal, with Fede Valverde finishing off a chipped pass from Brahim.

Montiel, with a shot blocked by Tchoaumeni in the 80th minute, scored the consolation goal for the Mexican team.
Manchester City needed only the first half to thrash Al Ain of the UAE 6-0 on Sunday in the closing stages of the second round of Group G, securing a place in the round of 16.
With one round remaining, Juventus and the English side have six points, although the Italian side have scored more goals.
Pep Guardiola’s City made their presence felt early on at the Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta and never looked back after German-Turkish midfielder Ilkay Gundogan broke the deadlock.
In the day’s third game, Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg played out a scoreless draw against Saudi team Al Hilal. EFE
