With goals from Spaniard Sergio Ramos and Argentine Lautaro Martinez, Rayados de Monterrey and Inter Milan drew 1-1 Tuesday in a Group E match at the FIFA Club World Cup played in Pasadena, California.

The tie between Mexico and Italy left Argentina’s River Plate leading the Group E standings with three points, after beating Japan’s Urawa Red Diamonds 3-1 Tuesday.

River Plate won with headers from Facundo Colidio, Sebastian Driussi, and Maximiliano Meza in their FIFA Club World Cup debut, a match played in Seattle, United States.

The Argentines have three points in the tournament’s Group E, which also includes Inter Milan and Rayados de Monterrey.

South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns defeated South Korea’s Ulsan Hyundai 1-0 Tuesday in the closing match of the first matchday of Group F at Exploria Stadium in Orlando, Florida.

The victory left the South African team top of the group, as hours earlier Brazilian side Fluminense and German side Borussia Dortmund played out a scoreless draw. EFE
