El director mexicano Guillermo del Toro presentar\u00e1 su m\u00e1s reciente pel\u00edcula \u2018Frankenstein\u2019 en Ciudad de M\u00e9xico el 3 de noviembre junto al elenco protagonista conformado por Oscar Isaac y Jacob Elordi, luego de que este mi\u00e9rcoles el filme tuvo su estreno en el pa\u00eds en el marco del Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia (FICM), celebrado en el estado de Michoac\u00e1n (occidente).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En un video compartido en las redes sociales de Netflix Latinoam\u00e9rica, el creador de \u2018El laberinto del fauno\u2019 (2006) revel\u00f3 que \u201cen muy poco tiempo\u201d la cinta, basada en la novela hom\u00f3nima de Mary Shelley (1797-1851), podr\u00e1 verse en las salas mexicanas seleccionadas el pr\u00f3ximo 23 de octubre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHace un tiempo me preguntaron c\u00f3mo es que lograba ver en lo horroroso algo bello y en lo bello algo horroroso. La respuesta fue muy simple: Porque soy mexicano\u201d, subray\u00f3 el realizador, de 61 a\u00f1os, y uno de los m\u00e1s importantes del cine nacional por su indagaci\u00f3n en los contrastes del terror y la ternura, un rasgo cercano al libro escrito por Shelley y publicado en 1818. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sobre esta cinta producida por Netflix y distribuida en M\u00e9xico por Pimienta Films, Del Toro afirm\u00f3 que los mexicanos tienen ese \u201cdon\u201d requerido para apreciar esta historia que ha recorrido el Festival Internacional de Cine de Venecia y el espa\u00f1ol en San Sebasti\u00e1n. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEsto no es una pel\u00edcula solo de terror, es una mirada a la din\u00e1mica familiar de padres e hijos y cargada de mucha luz hacia una criatura que \u00fanicamente provoca horror en aquellos que no la conocen (…) Ojal\u00e1 disfruten esta pel\u00edcula y cada uno de sus personajes con el coraz\u00f3n abierto y mucha mexicanidad\u201d, destac\u00f3. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

La proyecci\u00f3n de \u2018Frankenstein\u2019 se ha confirmado en 24 de los 32 estados del pa\u00eds, donde el p\u00fablico disfrutar\u00e1 de las actuaciones de Isaac, Elordi, Mia Goth y el condecorado con el \u00d3scar, Christoph Waltz por su actuaci\u00f3n en \u2018Bastardos sin gloria\u2019 (2009). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

En cuanto a su visita a la capital mexicana, el galardonado con el \u00d3scar no detall\u00f3 ni lugar ni hora, pero asegur\u00f3 en su cuenta de X que pronto estar\u00e1 en \u201cla capirucha\u201d (capital, Ciudad de M\u00e9xico).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Con esta nueva adaptaci\u00f3n, que tendr\u00e1 su transmisi\u00f3n en Netflix el 7 de noviembre, Del Toro se consolida de nuevo como el responsable de llevar a los monstruos m\u00e1s famosos de la historia a la pantalla grande, as\u00ed lo hizo con \u2018Hellboy\u2019 en 2004 y la secuela en 2008.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
