El papa Le\u00f3n XIV salud\u00f3 este domingo a la comunidad agustina de su antigua di\u00f3cesis de Chiclayo, en Per\u00fa, llegada a Roma por el A\u00f1o Santo, tras el rezo del \u00c1ngelus en su reposo veraniego en el pueblo de Castel Gandolfo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Saludo a la comunidad pastoral ‘Beato Agust\u00edn del Taramo’ del Colegio de San Agust\u00edn de Chiclayo, Per\u00fa, que tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1 en Roma para celebrar el Jubileo”, dijo en el momento de los saludos tras el \u00c1ngelus, recitado a las puertas del palacio de Castel Gandolfo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A su lado se encontraba su secretario personal, el sacerdote peruano Edgar Iv\u00e1n Rimaycun, que sonre\u00eda al escuchar el saludo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le\u00f3n XIV, Francis Robert Prevost, es estadounidense pero tambi\u00e9n tiene la nacionalidad peruana ya que pas\u00f3 gran parte de su vida en las misiones en el pa\u00eds andino, hasta ser obispo de Chiclayo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El pasado 8 de mayo, nada m\u00e1s ser elegido pont\u00edfice, utiliz\u00f3 el espa\u00f1ol en su primer mensaje al mundo para saludar a su “querida” di\u00f3cesis de Chiclayo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le\u00f3n XIV se encuentra pasando unos d\u00edas de descanso en el pueblo romano de Castel Gandolfo, donde los papas cuentan con un palacio donde tradicionalmente han pasado parte del verano, aunque Francisco decidi\u00f3 no hacerlo durante sus trece a\u00f1os de pontificado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
