La presidenta de M\u00e9xico, Claudia Sheinbaum, se comprometi\u00f3 este domingo a convertir el Tren Maya, obra emblema del oficialismo, en “el gran destino tur\u00edstico del mundo”, al cumplirse un a\u00f1o de operaciones del proyecto que ha sido criticado por su sobrecosto e impacto ambiental.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En un evento por el aniversario de la obra, Sheinbaum festej\u00f3 que el Tren Maya “le dice al planeta entero que solo en M\u00e9xico” es posible construir en tan solo cuatro a\u00f1os un tren de m\u00e1s de 1.500 kil\u00f3metros con distribuidores, viales, puentes y terraplenes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Les comparto que vamos a consolidar el Tren Maya como el gran destino tur\u00edstico del mundo, y adem\u00e1s, lo vamos a hacer tambi\u00e9n un tren de carga para fortalecer el traslado de mercanc\u00edas a lo largo del sureste mexicano”, se\u00f1al\u00f3 la presidenta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La mandataria mexicana apunt\u00f3 que el proyecto “no fue en contra, como algunos quisieron inventar, sino con y para las comunidades del sureste de M\u00e9xico”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adem\u00e1s, asegur\u00f3 que el Tren Maya protege al medioambiente y fomenta el turismo sustentable, pese a lo que llam\u00f3 “amparos sin sustento” y cr\u00edticas de “los adversarios de la transformaci\u00f3n” sobre su impacto ecol\u00f3gico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“A lo largo y ancho de la pen\u00ednsula, como parte del proyecto del Tren Maya, se crearon nueve \u00e1reas naturales protegidas y siete \u00e1reas de protecci\u00f3n con m\u00e1s de 1 mill\u00f3n 397.000 hect\u00e1reas”, asegur\u00f3 Sheinbaum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Asimismo, la mandataria ensalz\u00f3 la labor del Ej\u00e9rcito, a cargo de la empresa constructora del proyecto, cuyo trabajo “revela” el orgullo de los mexicanos hacia los militares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Estamos viviendo tiempos virtuosos con Fuerzas Armadas leales, humanistas, visionarias y ejemplares, que adem\u00e1s de cuidar la seguridad nacional y apoyar las labores de Seguridad P\u00fablica, apoyan a la poblaci\u00f3n y contribuyen a forjar proezas de paz y prosperidad”, expuso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Agreg\u00f3 que este megaproyecto es “un s\u00edmbolo de la cuarta transformaci\u00f3n”, como se le conoce al Movimiento de Regeneraci\u00f3n Nacional (Morena), partido en el poder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Con un sobrecosto de m\u00e1s de 500.000 millones de pesos (unos 25.000 millones de d\u00f3lares), cuando originalmente estaban contemplados 140.000 millones de pesos (unos 7.500 millones de d\u00f3lares), esta megaobra tambi\u00e9n ha sido cuestionada por incumplir sus metas tur\u00edsticas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
