Hong Kong y Guangzhou (China) han desarrollado un motor que convierte la energ\u00eda de la evaporaci\u00f3n del agua en electricidad para alimentar peque\u00f1os aparatos electr\u00f3nicos de hasta 100 voltios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El desarrollo, que recoge este jueves la revista Device, esta inspirado en este juguete habitual en las aulas de ciencia para mostrar a los alumnos c\u00f3mo funciona el equilibrio termodin\u00e1mico a trav\u00e9s del balanceo del p\u00e1jaro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El p\u00e1jaro bebedor consta de dos bombillas de cristal conectadas por un tubo de cristal con un l\u00edquido muy vol\u00e1til (cloruro de metileno) almacenado en su interior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La bombilla superior, que incluye el pico del p\u00e1jaro y un sombrero de copa decorativo, est\u00e1 recubierta de un material similar al fieltro, y el cuerpo del p\u00e1jaro est\u00e1 suspendido sobre dos patas de pl\u00e1stico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Al sumergir la cabeza del p\u00e1jaro en un vaso de agua, el agua empieza a evaporarse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Esto provoca una diferencia de presi\u00f3n que hace que el l\u00edquido del bulbo inferior suba por el tubo hasta llenar la cabeza, lo que hace que el ave se sumerja en de energ\u00eda por evaporaci\u00f3n, se acordaron del p\u00e1jaro bebedor de juguete y se preguntaron si podr\u00eda servir para algo m\u00e1s que para demostrar un concepto f\u00edsico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Empec\u00e9 a plantearme si podr\u00edamos convertir primero la energ\u00eda de evaporaci\u00f3n en energ\u00eda mec\u00e1nica y luego traducirla en electricidad, fue entonces cuando se me ocurri\u00f3 la idea de utilizar el juguete del p\u00e1jaro bebedor&#8221;, indica uno de los autores, Hao Wu, investigador de la Universidad Tecnol\u00f3gica del Sur de China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Con esta inspiraci\u00f3n naci\u00f3 el concepto de generador hidrovolt\u00e1ico de p\u00e1jaros bebedores&#8221;, a\u00f1ade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Para construir el generador, Wu y sus colegas colocaron dos m\u00f3dulos generadores, que recogen energ\u00eda mec\u00e1nica, a ambos lados de un motor de p\u00e1jaro bebedor que reconstruyeron a partir de un juguete comercial derivado del p\u00e1jaro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los investigadores probaron el prototipo con diversos dispositivos electr\u00f3nicos peque\u00f1os y lo utilizaron para alimentar 20 pantallas de cristal l\u00edquido (LCD), sensores de temperatura y calculadoras.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Superar la fricci\u00f3n que ralentizaba el generador fue uno de los principales retos del estudio, explica Wu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los investigadores colocaron fibras estampadas como materiales de transferencia de carga en los m\u00f3dulos del generador, una estrategia que ayud\u00f3 a reducir la fricci\u00f3n y permiti\u00f3 que el dispositivo funcionara con m\u00e1s suavidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><a combustible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;El generador hidrovolt\u00e1ico para p\u00e1jaros bebedores ofrece un medio \u00fanico para alimentar peque\u00f1os aparatos electr\u00f3nicos en condiciones ambientales, utilizando el agua como fuente de combustible f\u00e1cilmente disponible&#8221;, concluyen los investigadores, quienes se plantean explorar las v\u00edas para &#8220;lograr un producto
