The White House slams Amazon!
Washington DC, Apr 29 (EFE).-
The White House criticized Amazon on Tuesday over its decision to display the cost of tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump on its products.
“This is a hostile and political act by Amazon,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said at a press briefing with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.
Leavitt questioned Amazon for not making the same decision when Joe Biden’s previous administration “hiked inflation to the highest level in 40 years.”
The spokesperson also said that Amazon’s initiative was “not a surprise” because, she said, Amazon chief Jeff Bezos had business ties with the Chinese government. EFE er/sc
