India’s Teen Gang Raped by 20 men during six days!
New Delhi, Apr 12 (EFE).—
Indian police are investigating the alleged gang rape of a 19-year-old woman by more than 20 men over a span of six days, with at least a dozen suspects already in custody, authorities said Saturday.

According to a complaint filed by the family of the victim, the woman was repeatedly sexually assaulted at multiple locations between Mar. 29 and Apr.4.
A police source told EFE on condition of anonymity that charges have been filed under sections related to gang rape, assault with intent to outrage modesty, and unlawful confinement.
The source said 12 of the 23 accused have been arrested so far.

According to the complaint, the young woman was allegedly taken from a friend’s house on Mar. 29 and moved between different locations, including commercial establishments and hotels, where she was drugged and assaulted by different groups of men.
She returned home on Apr. 4 and informed her family of the ordeal, prompting them to contact the police.
Sexual violence against women remains a widespread issue in India.
Data from the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) show thousands of rape cases are reported annually, though experts believe many go unreported.

Analyses point to deep-rooted gender inequality and patriarchal norms as contributing factors to the prevalence of such crimes.
Victims often face significant social stigma and institutional barriers when seeking justice. EFE
